Five projects have been selected for funding for the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Training Centre. Applications for these studentships, expected to commence September 2008, are now being considered. Further details can be here.

Official Launch of the Centre for Plant Integrative Biology

Monday 2nd July 2007 1230 - 1700

The Centre for Plant Integrative Biology at the University of Nottingham will receive its official launch with a buffet lunch, followed by talks from members of CPIB and invited speakers. Further details can be found on the poster here.

Professor Charlie Hodgman is the guest editor for the August 2007 edition of Briefings in Bioinformatics. This is a special issue devoted to 'Integrative Biology'. Briefings in Bioinformatics can be found here.

15th May 2007

On the 4th May two new staff members arrived:
Drs. Mirella Axinte and Ming Qian, who are repectively taking up the positions of CPIB research administrator and Finite Element Analysis modeller.

Eric Mjolsness, principal investigator of the The Computable Plant project, is visiting CPIB.

1st March 2007

The Centre for Plant Integrative Biology started its research programme today. Strand 1 of the programme will concentrate on developing models of the hormonal control of cell elongation in the Arabidopsis root. Six postdoctoral scientists have started their induction and training in interdisciplinary working. General details can be found here.
